My treatment indicator is designed to help patients better understand the management of their CHB. The tool is designed as a simple “traffic light system”, with outcomes provided as green, amber and red, to reflect whether treatment is not indicated, should be considered or is indicated respectively based on the latest clinical parameters provided.

As an expert in CHB, a critical message that I emphasise to all my patients is that CHB is a dynamic disease, which means the clinical picture can change at any time. This is the reason why all patients with CHB should be under specialist follow-up. Moreover, this is also the reason why the indicator “outcome” can change over time to reflect changes in the clinical picture.
